NYC

I'm in New York right now. I just got here today. My sister, Daphne, has moved from one apartment to another in Brooklyn, so I drove up for the weekend to visit her and help her get situated (aka drive her to Ikea). The drive wasn't so bad...with traffic, it took me 5 hours to get here. So I imagine without the traffic, I could make it here in about 4. It is hot hot hot here! I've been spoiled with the A/C at our apartment in VA. Daphne has a lot of windows and a fan...but it is still hot! And it's just after sunset! Tomorrow we're going to spend A LOT of time at IKEA just so we can hang out in some air conditioning.
I still don't have a job. Although, I might have another interview next week...so we'll see. Our movers have finally notified us that our furniture/stuff is in route and we should get it on Wednesday! Finally...a month later! August 12th we are going to Bethany Beach, Delaware. Justin and his family have rented a house near the beach for a week. We won't be there the entire week, but definitely for the weekends and a few days of the week. If I get a job and start working before then, I might only be there for the weekends. But it's not bad and the drive isn't too far..about 2 hours. I love the beach. I'm excited because I've never been to an East coast beach before. I'll post pictures when we get back. By the way, I quit posting pictures in blogger because there's usually an error 90% of the time. But I do post them in Flickr, and you can get there by clicking on the link in my sidebar off to the right. We got a new scanner/copier/printer combo-all-in-one last week, so I scanned some old photos. They turned out pretty good, I think. Anyway, sorry this post is going to be short. I'm starving and Daphne's taking me out for Thai food tonight! Hope you all have a great weekend!
