It's Friday!

It's a little rainy here today and I wish I could have stayed home, under the covers on a day like this, but I'm very thankful it is Friday nonetheless! My friend, Lara from Texas is visiting this weekend and she arrives tonight! I'm so excited to see her...I can't wait. Lara and I met through a mutal friend in high school, however we never really "hit it off" until years later. In August of 2000, she and I went with a group of people to Galveston for a long weekend. We finally bonded on that trip and have basically been close friends and in each other's lives ever since. We were roommates in San Marcos for two years, as well. I can count on her for anything and she is truly a GREAT friend...one that I will have for the rest of my life. Tonight, we are planning to go to dinner and just hang out. Tomorrow night I think we may go to West Hollywood and go dancing. The last time she was here, we didn't go to the westside at all, so we're definitely going to spend some time at the beach and we might go back to Getty at some point. Lara was an art history major in college, so she's a good person to go to art museums with because she's like a tour guide and can tell you extra information, other than what's provided in the synopses on the walls. Other than those few things we don't really have a planned agenda. This trip is for us to hang out, spend some quality time together and enjoy being on vacation :) The few times I've seen her since I moved to Cali, it was always for an event...a wedding, a concert, a few hours during the Christmas break..it's hard to really plan times like these...so I'm looking forward to it!
Well, I have quite a bit of work to do today...It's PILOT season and things are crazy....the cable guy never showed up for the install at the new office last night either, so I have some things to figure out before I'm off for 4 days! Happy weekend everyone!
